Guide to Using Eyelash Extension Tweezers
Eyelash extension tweezers are designed to adjust the small details of eyelash extensions. Eyelash extension tweezers are one of the few tools you need from start to finish.
That is why you need professional tweezers to master the art of eyelash extensions.
Types of eyelash tweezers
By Tweezer Shape
A professional Eyelashes Tweezers consists of eyelash extension tweezer tips. The tips are particularly important because they are used to grip, select, and separate the lashes during use.
There are different types of tips, such as straight, curved, and L-shaped, and each tip has a specific function.

I-tips: straight I-tips are ideal for isolating the eyelashes and for the classic method of eyelash extension. For insulation, a thin, long I-tip is recommended. Thicker, shorter lashes are ideal for the classic lash extension method.
F-tips are ideal for highlighting and securing classic eyelash extensions.
A-tips: The A-tips are ideal for highlighting and fixing classic eyelash extensions.
X-Shape: Ideal for classic eyelash extensions. These X-shaped tweezers can hold a classic extension without putting undue strain on the hand.
S-Shape Tweezers: S-shaped tweezers are ideal for holding lashes and attaching them to eyelash extensions. This type can also be used to highlight clients with prominent eyebrows or deep eye areas.
L-shaped lash extension tweezers are ideal for holding and clamping hand-made lashes.
Rounded: Tweezers with rounded tips are ideal because the rounded tips are safe for removing leaves or eye patches after treatment.
Material.
The most used materials for professional eyelash extension tweezers are stainless steel and titanium.
Stainless steel tweezers: these are more resistant to corrosion than metal tweezers, but can rust if not properly maintained. Stainless steel tweezers contain small amounts of nickel, which can cause allergic reactions in some people.
Titanium tweezers: much lighter than stainless steel and stainless steel tweezers. A very strong and durable material, ideal for professional eyelash extension tweezers. Because it is non-allergenic, it is often used in medical procedures.
Magnetic and non-magnetic
Magnetic and non-magnetic tweezers are also available for professional use. We recommend using non-magnetic tweezers because using magnetic tweezers can cause problems when extending eyelashes, especially in dry areas.

How to choose the best tweezers for eyelash extensions?
There are several factors to consider when choosing the right tweezers for professional use. To determine which tweezers are right for you, ask yourself the following questions.
What type of extension technique will you be using?
For classic extensions

What procedure will you use tweezers for?
Isolation.
It can easily tire your hand, so isolation tweezers should be lightweight and not have too much tension on the handle. We recommend using the SS-SA device.
Insulation tweezers
Use round-tipped tweezers, such as the 2A-SA, to remove tape or eye pads.

Your weight and grip
This is something that many artists overlook when choosing tweezers for eyelash extensions. However, it can have a big impact on the health of your finger joints, wrists, and overall posture.
Therefore, choose tweezers that have the right grip and weight for your hand.
Keep in mind that there are no universal tweezers. Consider the key factors listed above, but ultimately make sure you should choose the pair that is most comfortable for your hands and appropriate for your desired technique.

How to extend the life of your eyelash tweezers
You have finally found the tweezers of your dreams. That’s great! Now you need to take care of their longevity.
Do not use the same tweezers for thin eyelash extensions (e.g. ~0.07mm) and thicker ones. Using the tweezers on thicker lashes requires less tension in the tweezers, so eventually, the tweezers will be too loose to lift the thinner lash extensions.
Remove any glue from the tweezers (immediately!) Glue in the tweezers can cause an imbalance in the weight distribution of the tweezers and damage the tweezers. Use a tweezer cleaner or eyelash glue remover to remove the stain.
The tip of the tweezers is very thin and delicate. Do not rub the tip of the tweezers against a hard surface, such as an eyelash palette.
Tweezers can easily slip and fall (and get damaged) if you place them on a pillow or bed of whips. Keep the tweezers on a non-slip surface, such as a silicone work pad.
When the tweezers are not in use, store them in a closed case or on a tweezer stand.

Precautions for eyelash extension tweezers
Professional eyelash extension tweezers are a source that can cause unexpected but harmful accidents if not careful enough.
If a client suddenly moves his face and pierces himself with tweezers, he can cause serious injury. People curling eyelashes should always be aware of where the tip of the tweezers is pointing.
If you’re performing the procedure in a salon shared with other artists, make sure there’s plenty of room for people to walk behind you, as accidentally pushing someone from behind could cause the client to be injured by the sharp tweezers in your hands.
Irritations and allergic reactions associated with tweezers
Metal allergy: Some clients may have an allergic reaction to metal tweezers. This happens when using metal tweezers or stainless steel tweezers that contain nickel or chromium. These properties are easily ionized when they meet chlorine ions in sweat and cause an allergic skin reaction. Symptoms can include itching, swelling, a red rash or, in severe cases, painful oozing.
If your client has a metal allergy, wash the affected area with soap and ice water or apply diluted vinegar to the area. If symptoms persist, seek medical advice.
As a precaution, you can use tweezers made of titanium or paint the metal tip or stainless steel tweezers with clear nail polish.
Bacterial infection: professional eyelash tweezers touch the client’s eyelashes and skin and are the main tool causing the transmission of unwanted germs or bacteria from one client to another. For this reason, you MUST sterilize your tweezers between clients and should never use the same tweezers for different clients without proper sterilization.
It is also recommended to use freshly sterilized tweezers if you drop them on the ground. If you don’t use the tweezers, store them in a safe place in a humid air sterilizer or in a box for UV light disinfection.
